Confused by the IEP Process? You Don’t Have to Do This Alone.

We provide expert, compassionate IEP support so you can walk into school meetings with clarity, confidence, and a plan that truly supports your child.

IEPs Should Help—Not Confuse or Frustrate You

You’re not alone if you’ve felt:
  • Overwhelmed by paperwork, meetings, and jargon.
  • Frustrated by a lack of progress or support.

  • Worried your voice isn’t being heard.
Most parents haven’t been taught how to navigate the special education system. Your Literacy Lighthouse provides trusted guidance and compassionate support to help families feel confident and never alone.

Depending on your needs, your consultation may include support with:

  • Requesting or interpreting evaluations.
  • Understanding your child’s learning profile.
  • Reviewing IEP goals, accommodations, and services.
  • Identifying gaps or vague language in the plan.
  • Preparing questions or talking points for IEP meetings.
  • Advocating for changes or additional support.
  • Supporting your child in homeschool or hybrid settings.

We help you not only understand what’s in your child’s plan—but what should be.

Special Education Doesn’t Stop at the School Door

If you homeschool a child with learning needs, you may feel like there’s no clear path.

We can help you:

  • Adapt an existing IEP to your home environment.
  • Create an alternative education plan with appropriate goals.
  • Access local resources and comply with your state laws.
  • Prepare for transitions between public, private, or home education.

You shouldn’t have to give up expert support just because you’ve chosen a different path. We’re here to help it work for your family.

No. We support families navigating public, private, and homeschool situations.
